Watched Varudu(Telugu Movie) today. It is not that bad as people are saying.
First half is too good. Especially the marriage scenes. It is really delightful to watch so many people coming for a marriage function. Secret about heroine is revealed. It is the same as Internet sites are publicizing, Bhanu Mehra. Except for few scenes in the second half, it is also good.
About Heroine: Not only outside the movie, inside the movie also, she won’t appear for the first 50 minutes. She is good. Her expressions are also good. In the recent times, directors generally won’t focus on Heroine lips in songs. But in this movie, her lips are in Sync with the song and credit should go to Director. That’s really something to appreciate. Even in the close up shots, her facial expressions are good. In some scenes she resembles Gowri Munjal.
About Allu Arjun: What to say about him. We all know how energetic he is. Dances are as usual good. Somehow i feel Arjun is mis-cast for this movie. The main problem is with his dialogue diction. While saying some emotional and punch dialogues, that feeling is not there. I think he is better suited for Tapori type of characters. In some scenes he is good, but still…
About Director: Gunasekhar has always this habbit of Big sets. Sometimes required sometimes not required. In this movie, also the set for Marriage is awesome. But in the climax fight, the chimney set is completely useless.
About Aarya(Tamil): He is really superb. In the second half of the movie, it appears like he dominated hero. But I felt good as he got good characterization which he is worth of. But I really doubt whether he is going to do some more Villain kind of roles in Telugu. If yes, then we got a good actor.
Other Departments: Picturization of Aidhurojula Pelli song is good. Even Bahusha song is also good. Background music is fine. Camera work by RDR is good. He really deserves applause for such a good work.
Special Attractions:
Sunil’s dance for 30 seconds. It is simply superb.
Lip lock between lead pair for few seconds. Even Telugu movies are becoming advanced now a days.
In total, the movie is worth watching for the first half and except for a few scenes in the second half.
